The Desktop

OK. There we go. My 2nd post and this has come after almost 14 months in exile. Well, it's not that I am not interested in blogs or not writing one, but, laziness always gets the better of me almost every time I think on writing something.

But then, I would really not call this a post as it's about nothing. It was just one of my ways to become righteous - righteous in the sense that actually using the free space Blogspot / Google has provided me to pen down my thoughts.

Speaking of Google, it has in more than one way contributed to this post. I have this knack of being tech savvy and in one such moment of surfing (synonymous to Googling for me) around that I found that blogger.com now allows to publish blog posts thru SMS, MMS and Emails..!!! It may be old hat for some of you out there, but, for me, it was the news. So there I go, registered my Mobile instantly for this service, took this snap with my Mobile and sent it over to go@blogger.com from my email thru the GPRS enabled handset. And lo..!! within minutes I get an email notification from Google about the picture getting posted on my registered blog. I have added the text later but it feels good that now I can write blogs on the fly by simply emailing them from my mobile - of course when I am feeling not that lazy.

Speaking of the picture itself - it's just a random click and from the description that follows, it's not to be mistaken for a show off :). Major items out there are this screw driver kit, one laptop hard disk, one external HDD and the pouch with the Android imprint. I usually do not have my laptop hard disk lying around outside like that but it was out there because I just replaced it with a replacement that came from Dell. That explains the screw driver kit that I ordered from ebaY.com. The new one is from Toshiba and the old one was a Samsung. The external hard disk (one below the laptop disk) here is the one I used for the backup operation before switching disks. It's a pocket size powerhouse of a storage with 1 TB capacity and for those who are interested, its a USB powered My Passport Essential SE from Western Digital. And the Android pouch is for Nexus One thru which I clicked this snap. More on Nexus One later as I would not be doing any justice to it by including just a one liner. For the uninformed, the N1 is the new IN thing out there for the tech savvy crowd.

Okay, this is it. I am hoping to churn out posts on a regular basis. One incentive to do so would have been to burn some major calories while writing a blog. But who knows, they might just come up with that too..or have they already did..!!?? Back to Google...
